About Me
I am so excited to launch this new blog that will document the twists and turns of a passionate Social Work major at the School of Public Programs at our dear Arizona State University. It is my privilege as a Star Ambassador to share with you my experiences here at ASU and the interesting things I learn each day in my classes and how they apply to my future career. I am definitely not your "normal" Bachelor's level student, as I have already had a short lived career (yep, real estate careers were looking good there for a little while) and am definitely older than the average student. The cool thing about ASU-Downtown Phoenix is that there is such a range of ages and backgrounds in classes, that the "norm" is not necessarily what we all picture. These differences are my favorite part about this campus, because all the variations bring such a unique dimension to the classes as we learn from each other.
In this blog, I'm going to focus on the happenings in the School of Social work as well as the pressing social issues that relate to this field. Hopefully you all will check back often and enjoy my commentary on all these fabulous things!
